Till Death Us Do Part (A Story from The Sealed Book)

“Till Death Do Us Part” is the strange tale of a man who hates his wife because she loves him too much. The man’s name is Chris Worthy and the story begins late on a moonlit night. Chris is tossing and turning in his sleep because he is having a nightmare about his wife Blanche, who is mollycoddling him to death. When he awakes he tells her that he wants a divorce, but she refuses to give him one. Chris is then left with no other option than to run away and find someplace where Blanch cannot find him. He even changes his name and becomes Richard Keller.

All of his precautions are of no avail. Blanche tracks him down and turns up in his hotel room, promising she will change her ways and give him the space he needs. Chris returns with her, but she is incapable of keeping her word so Chris is forced to take a more drastic course of action—he decides to kill his wife and be rid of her once and for all.

Chris takes Blanche on a fishing trip, where she has an unfortunate accident and goes to a watery grave.

Free at last, Chris meets up with and marries his old flame Anne Ballan, but things are not what they seem because Chris soon discovers that Anne Ballan has been dead for a month.
